On 18 April, 1943, four boys were venturing through Hagely Woods. They came across a large Wych elm and one volunteered to climb it thinking it was a nice viewing spot. His fun was all drained when he looked in the hollow trunk of the tree. There was a skull wedged inside of the tree. At first the boys didn't speak a word over their discovery thinking it was an animal. but after a few more sights they realized it was a human corpse. The
whole town had been informed the next day. when the tree was stripped down they came across a full skeleton which they soon found out was belonging to a woman. after few tests they discovered it had been that trunk for 18 months. that meant the lady had passed in October 1941. Since it was the midst of WW2 they could not identify this woman. she was given her name by the the Prostitute who had gone missing 3 years ago, Bella.
