Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow
Bonnie and Clyde are the most known Depression era gangsters in history. They were two young souls from completely different lifestyles. While Bonnie came from a well respected part of society, Clyde had always known he was a criminal at heart. It was love at first sight for the two on January 5, 1930. Though Bonnie was married at the time, her husband was serving time in jail. With no better choices she agreed to join Clyde and his world of crime.
The couple were not alone though. They became part of the Barrow gang that included
- Bonnie Parker
- Clyde Barrow
- Buck Barrow
- Blanche Barrow
- W. D. Jones
- Henry Methvin
- Raymond Hamilton
- Ralph Fults
The gang continued stealing from banks, killing people, and running from the law until they became almost tired of the criminal life. soon the gang put together how dangerous it actually was to be caught and had to take precautions.
They slipped up when one of their gang members got shot in his head. Not long after Bonnie had burned her leg in a gas leak from a car accident.
Slowly their plans were deteriorating until it came
to the final chase in May 23, 1934. Bonnie and Clyde were
shot down by 4 Texas officers who caught them in broad daylight robbing a car.
